Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Member Jim Weatherly To Be Inducted Into Songwriters Hall of Fame

Jim Weatherly, 2006 inductee to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame June 12, in New York City. Ray Davies, Donovan, Graham Gouldman, and Mark James will also be honored at the organizations 45th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner.

Weatherly’s numerous songwriting hits include Gladys Knight & The Pips’ “Midnight Train to Georgia” and Glen Campbell’s Dove Award-winning “Where Shadows Never Fall.” Ray Price alone recorded over 50 of Weatherly’s songs. A Mississippi native, Weatherly began writing in Los Angeles before moving in 1985 permanently to Nashville.
