Roger Cook inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York

Congratulations to 1997 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Roger Cook, who was inducted into the New York-based Songwriters Hall of Fame on June 18, 2009. Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Cook’s writing partner, Roger Greenaway, and Crosby, Stills and Nash were among the other inductees.
In a musical career spanning over four decades, Roger has penned songs for artists including: Elton John, Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Bette Midler, and John Prine. “Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress” sung by The Hollies, “One Night at a Time” by George Strait, and “I Believe in You” by Don Williams are just a few of his many hits. Cook has also had success in advertising composing many jingles for Coca-cola, including the iconic “Buy The World a Coke.”
