Roger Cook inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York

Congratulations to 1997 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Roger Cook, who was inducted into the New York-based Songwriters Hall of Fame on June 18, 2009.

Bobby Braddock Tops the Charts

Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member, Bobby Braddock, along with co-writer Troy Jones, have a #1 hit with “People Are Crazy” recorded by Billy Currington.  The songwriter’s celebrated the chart-topping collaboration with Billy at a party hosted by BMI.  

 

“People Are Crazy” is Bobby’s 13th number one song in his long career.  Some of Braddock’s other #1 hits include: “D-I-V-O-R-C-E” by Tammy Wynette, “He stopped Loving Her Today” song by George Jones, “I Wanna Talk About Me” by Toby Keith, and “Time Marches On” by Tracy Lawrence.   This was the first number one for co-writer Troy Jones.

 

BMI reports "People Are Crazy" is the most-played song on country radio so far this year!
